Being a tourer, the Dominar 400 proved itself to be very capable and comfortable on the long rides. However, on any motorcycle, pillion need an extra bit of comfort and support on a tiring journey. Carbon Racing™ provides an exact solution for this.
Tried and tested over 1 year on multiple bikes in rough terrains of Leh-Ladakh, Spiti, Nepal, Bhutan and many other Indian Domestic tours, all the pillions of the test bikes loved the comfort our Pillion Backrest offers. Developed to be adaptive to the pillion's height, our Backrest comes with height adjustment of about 2 inches which will be suitable for any pillion.
We at Carbon Racing™ always strive to provide the BEST possible quality in every product, this backrest is made using 4mm high strength Carbon Steel. Engineered to precision and engineered to be stiff when it is needed and also slightly provide a lean of 1.5 inches when leaned on it fully. The mounting points were carefully chosen for these at the strongest mount points on the bike. Additional triangular supports are welded to the product at the exact pressure points to add more strength to the base of the product. Finished in Durable Black Powder coat in Satin finish offers the premium feel.
We have chosen the backrest cushion from Varroc, who is the largest supplier for many OEM Motorcycle manufacturers including Bajaj. The seat cushion is the exact spec of the cushion comes with Bajaj Avenger, which is the best in the business in terms of superior comfort. Additional laser cut back plate serves as a cover for back of the cushion, and also being used as an accent piece to enhance the beauty of the overall product.

We ship through DTDC across India for an additional cost. Shipping will be added during checkout.
Note: This backrest is optimized to be installed with our Saddle stays and Top rack at the same time. It makes uses the available space under the seat without modifying anything on the bike.
However, if you want to use Original grab handles along with only backrest, then there are small changes needed. Since the grab handle is bulky, there simply isn't enough space to add additional stuff. In such case, grab handles needs to be installed above the backrest and two rubber pads needs to be removed from the seat in order to accommodate the additional height due to the added product.

- SHIPPING POLICY
For the products in stock:
We normally prepare the packages after we receive a confirmed order. Hence we quote 48 hrs or 2 working day to dispatch the products from our end on the normal days. In the riding seasons like Diwali, Christmas break etc times, there will be slight delays in shipping, as there will be a slight rush in these seasons.
Pre-Order / Back-Order:
For the products marked under "Pre-Order", we normally ship in 7-10 days of order receipt, or specified otherwise.
Once we dispatch the product from our end, we will lose the control over it. We will provide the tracking number to the customers, so that they can track their packages. In case of any issues with courier, customers have to work with the courier company using tracking number as the reference. However, we as shipper also can try to escalate from our end. If there is any delay in delivery beyond the normal duration, customer can reach out to their local courier office and check the package status.
Sometimes if there are confusions in locating the right delivery address, India Post delivery personnel will contact customers on the provided number, so please provide a working number which is currently being used.
1) We do not ship on Saturdays and Sundays and any National Holidays
2) During the major festival times, at times of disaster, natural calamities, it will be difficult to keep up with the 48 hours shipping commitment. We request customers to kindly bear with us in such times.
PLEASE DO NOT EVER ACCEPT AN OPEN OR DAMAGED PACKAGE. IF YOU REJECT SUCH PACKAGES, IN CASE OF MISSING ITEMS, WE CAN RECOVER THE COST FROM THE COURIER COMPANY FOR THEIR MISTAKE.
